Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones GovTenderIQ uses, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember information about your visit, such as your session or preferences.
2. Our approach: essential cookies only
GovTenderIQ keeps cookies to the minimum necessary to run the Service. We use:
- Strictly necessary cookies — to keep you signed in and to remember your cookie consent choice. Without these the Service cannot function.
- Preference cookies— to remember your chosen language, display currency and default tender country, so you don’t have to set them on every visit.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party tracking or analytics cookies. Product analytics (understanding how the Service is used) is performed server-side, based on your account activity, and does not rely on placing tracking cookies in your browser.
3. Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
authjs.session-token | Keeps you signed in to your account (authentication session). | Session / until sign-out |
locale | Remembers your preferred display language. | 1 year |
currency | Remembers your preferred display currency. | 1 year |
country | Remembers your default country for browsing tenders. | 1 year |
cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie consent choice, so we don’t ask again on every visit. | 1 year |
4. Managing your preferences
You can choose “Essential only” or “Accept all” in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Because we only set strictly necessary and preference cookies — never advertising or third-party tracking cookies — both choices result in the same, privacy-respecting experience. You can also control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; note that blocking the necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
